Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and the National Music Conservatory Launch JOrchestra

AMMAN—15 April 2014—Philanthropist and music aficionado His Excellency Dr. Talal Abu Ghazaleh has spearheaded the revival of the National Music Conservatory’s Amman Symphony Orchestra, which is now registered as Jordanian National Orchestra Association – JOrchestra.

This nonprofit national initiative, in cooperation with King Hussein Foundation’s National Music Conservatory, will build upon Her Majesty Queen Noor’s vision of music as an integral part of Jordan’s heritage while promoting its cultural identity and cross cultural exchange.

“In addition to showcasing the extraordinary talent of Jordanian musicians to the world, JOrchestra will also assist our country in building networks within the global community and will impact the national economy by offering non-traditional job opportunities to Jordanian youth and help Jordan develop its music industry,” HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said.

Under the leadership of HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, this initiative, destined to celebrate creativity, artistry, and musical excellence, would not be possible without the dedication and support of passionate music philanthropists from the community, private business, and diplomatic sectors.

HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh and the Mayor of Amman will host the launch of JOrchestra on June 24th, 2014 under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Noor and in cooperation with the Greater Amman Municipality.
